AUTHORIZE AREA OF USE

Vehicle must remain within a 250km radius of Surfers Paradise or otherwise all waivers will be void due to breach of contract. Please be aware that the following areas do fall within our authorised area of use:

  • To the north (Sunshine Coast and Brisbane)
  • To the south (Northern New South Wales including Byron Bay and Lismore);
  • And to the west (Toowomba)

If you are not sure, let us know where you intend to travel and he will advise you if the area is included or not. Keep in mind that Australia is a HUGE country!

BREAKDOWN SERVICE

Costless Car Rentals provide a complimentary 24-hour vehicle breakdown service through Holden Roadside Assist or RACQ. A toll free telephone number for Holden (1800 817 100) or RACQ (1800 648 058) is provided on all our vehicle key tags. Please note that a call out for human error, for example locked in car or out fuel, will incur a $50 service fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellation must be notified prior to 7 days of arrival. A two day rental fee will be charged if cancelled within this period.

CHILD RESTRAINTS

Subject to prior arrangement and availability, of course, we can supply and fit approved child restraints for children from new born up to approximately 5 years of age. Costs associated with child restraint hire are as follows;

  • Baby Capsule new born to approximately 6 months or weight of 9 kg and maximum length of 700mm= $3 per day (maximum charge- $21).
  • Child Safety Seat 6 months to 3 years weighing at between 8kg and 18kg= $3 per day maximum charge-$21).
  • Child Booster Seat 18kg and above= $3 per day (maximum charge- $21).

COLLECTION AND RETURN OF VEHICLE

Local Accommodation- Metropolitan area;

  • Subject to prior arrangement, we offer you a free pick up service within a 5 kilometre radius of our office whereby we pick you up and return you to our office to collect the vehicle.
  • Where possible, we will happily drive you back to your accommodation. In the event that we are unable to do this, we will happily to call you a taxi. This is a courtesy service, not part of the rate.

Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal:

  • Subject to prior arrangement, we offer a meet-and-greet delivery service. A Costless Rental Sales Agent will be standing at the Baggage Claim area in the arrivals lounge and can be identified by holding a signboard with you name on it.
  • Vehicles returning to this airport must be parked at the designated Rental Car Parking area within the LONG TERM public carpark. This area is sign posted clearly. We will provide you with a map showing the exact location and simple procedure to follow for vehicle return. A $45.00 fee applies.

Brisbane Airport International Terminal:

  • Subject to prior arrangement, we offer a meet-and-greet delivery service. A Costless Rental Sales Agent will be standing at the Customers exit in the Arrivals lounge. We can be identified, as we will be holding a signboard with your name on it.
  • Vehicles returning to this airport must be parked in the off site car rental area. This area is sign osted clearly. We will provide you with a map showing the exact location and simple procedure to follow for vehicle return. A $45.00 fee applies.

Gold Coast Airport- Coolangatta Domestic Terminal:

  • Subject to prior arrangement, we offer a meet-and-greet delivery service. A Costless Rental Sales Agent will be standing at the Baggage Claim area in the Arrivals lounge. We can be identified, as we will be holding a signboard with your name on it.
  • Vehicles returning to this airport must be parked at designated Renal Car Parking area in either bay 28, 29 or 30. This area is sign posted clearly. We will provide you with a map showing the exact location and simple procedure to follow for vehicle return. A $35.00 fee applies.

DAMAGE/LOSS WAIVER

Damage/Loss Liability “α€” In the event that the rented vehicle incurs any damage/loss the renter is responsible for payment of the liability amount of which is shown on the face of the rental agreement. Apart from obvious accident, this also includes (and is not limited to) items such as missing wheel covers, vandalism, hail damage, for example, cigarette burns. Loss/damage cover is subject to the terms and conditions on the rentals agreement being met. Liability Reduction Package- For $18-$34 per day we offer a package to minimize liability to the renter as follows:

  • Liability Reduction “α€” acceptance of the daily fee may reduce the standard liability amount. As detailed below.
  • Windscreen Damage waiver “α€” eliminates liability for windscreen damage.

DRIVER LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Australian Renters
All current full Australian Drivers Licensed accepted with photographic identification. Drivers license must have been held for a minimum 2 years. Age restrictions apply as per the Damage/Loss Liability Table. Overseas Renters

We do prefer to see an international Drivers license. However, we will accept an overseas Drivers Licences provided it is written in English or you have a certified English translation. Without an International Drivers License we will need to see your passport as well. Drivers licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years. Age restrictions apply as per the Damage/Loss Liability Table.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Office hours of operation
Monday to Saturday- 0800am to 1700pm
Sunday- 0800am to 1200noon
Closed Christmas Day Airport Deliveries– We service the Airports any day of the year 0630am to 2000pm or possibly later by prior arrangement.

FUEL

Vehicles are supplied to you with fuel. We ask that you return the vehicle with at least the same level of fuel as relieved. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, we will estimate the refueling cost at $1.75 per litre plus $10 service fee.

PAYMENT METHODS

All rentals must be secured by a credit card imprint of AUD$250 (AUD$1,000 for family, convertible,utes, & AWD wagons) and is subject to pre-authorisation. We accept payment in the following methods:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • Bankard
  • American express
  • Diners Club
  • JCB
  • Cash in Australian Dollars- Credit card still required
  • Travellers Cheques in Australian Dollars

RATES

  • Rates are subject to change without notice due to the unpredictable nature of our industry.
  • The rates include our standard Loss/Damage Waiver subject to the terms and conditions on our rental agreement. (For more detailed information refer to the Damage/Loss Waiver section.)
  • Goods and Service Tax is included in the rates, currently 10%.
  • Rates include unlimited kilometres except where noted by * in which case 200km free per day is offered. Excess kilometres, if any, are charged at 0.25c each 30+ day rentals include 100km free per day.

RETURN OF VEHICLE, TIME AND DATE

In order not to inconvenience the next renter of your vehicle, we ask you return your vehicle no later than he contracted time. Fifteen minutes past that time and your rentals incurs an hourly of 1/5 of the daily rate. Any intention to return late must be made known to our office. Damage/Loss cover will cease on the return time and date stipulated on your rental agreement.

  • Cleaning Fee- A cleaning fee will be charged if the vehicle is not returned in a clean and tide condition.

STREET DIRECTORIES AND MAPS

We provide with compliments a comprehensive street directory covering Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. All we ask is that they are returned, if not a $35 replacement fee will be charged. We also provide local tourist guides highlighting attractions in the South East Queensland region .You may keep these as there is no charge for them.

TRAFFIC VIOLATORS

Speeding and parking fines, as an example, are the responsibility of the renter. Any traffic violations processed by Costless Car Rentals will incur a $45.00 SERVICE FEE. They are dated and can be traced back to your rentals. Renter (1) will be nominated as he driver unless otherwise advised to Costless Car Rental in writing.
